The NASAR Tech II Field Evaluation is May 14 and 15. Those who took the FUNSAR over one year ago will need to take the written test again. We will be doing refreshers to get everyone ready.

The ALERT meeting will be held April 11th.  This meeting will be held as training at the Wood County Civil Air Patrol at 6 pm.  We will be inventorying the equipment at the airport for our Large Animal Rescue purposes.

Bike for a Cure

Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 9:00 AM WVU at Parkersburg Parking Lot Bike for a Cure Registration Bike for a Cure is an open event for competitors and community members alike. The ride is primarily on a level surface composed of tamped gravel and is accessible to beginner riders.

Great training weekend

I think everyone involved with the past weekend’s trainings agrees that everything went very well. All comments were favorable. We had between 20 and 30 participants at the SAR training and the self defense class. They were both a workout!

Search and Rescue Training

Everything is a go for this weekend’s training. Saturday morning we will meet at Camp Copperhead at 10am. The National Weather Service is saying “Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. North winds around 6mph”. You can follow this at the Weather Link above.
